Never have I dreamed of collaborating with Ballet dancers, but the self-creating nature of how BELLA GAIA evolves never ceases to amaze me.
I have just returned from Manila, Philippines, where the vision of Maribel Garcia of the Mind Museum, put me and Ballet Philippines on a fantastic collision course that exploded into an electro opera Earth-Space ballet theater for 1500 people at the announcement of the launch of the Mind Museum. The Mayor, sponsors, and Ayala were some in the audience. What makes this even more incredible is that some of the dancers lost their homes by the recent typhoon and flooding that happened just a week before this show. It was this event, and the work of choreographer Gerald Mercado that kept them going. This event was followed by two shows at Ayala Malls. Thanks to all at the Mind Museum, Ayala Malls, and all the sponsors of this event. Enjoy the photos… more to be posted soon as they come in.
October 13 – BELLA GAIA Live will not only be featured as part of the grand opening of the new Mind Museum in Manila, but we will be collaborating with Ballet Philippines during the show. The first collaboration of its kind – I am honored to have this opportunity to collaborate on such a fantastic, creative combination of world class dancers, audio, and visual art.
Following this event, on October 14, 15, will be two live appearances at Ayala Malls in Manila, with Singer, NINA to perform prior to the BELLA GAIA live show. More info soon.
BELLA GAIA Live will be featured at a unique event on the NASA Ames campus on the night of October 8th (Early morning of the 9th) 2:30 am.
The event will be broadcasting a live image of a scientific experiment (Impacting the Moon) to determine if there is water on the moon. This event is free, and open to the public. Bring your lawn chairs, and sleeping bags! Doors open at 5:30pm, BELLA GAIA Live will be at 2:30am, and the live IMPACT event will happen at 4am. For more info, click below!
