Video & Photos: Smithsonian Folklife NASA Galaxy stage audience reactions
What an incredible honor to be invited by NASA and the Smithsonian Institution to feature BELLA GAIA for NASA”s 50th anniversary celebration. We received such positive feedback, not only from the public who many said were moved to tears, but also from the top NASA scientists that joined me on stage, presenting and explaining the MODIS and satellite imagery used in Bella Gaia. I feel we are creating a successful recipe integrating audio and video that is having a profound impact on the audience – repeatedly. A very special thanks to Rob Simmon, Steve Platnick, Bob Cahalan, and Brian Markham from NASA for presenting on stage with me.
My deepest thanks to all within NASA and the Smithsonian Institution for helping make this happen! A special thanks to Oud player Shawkatt Sayyad, and dancer Lale Sayoko who joined me on stage during the Egyptian Nile River section of the show, attracting crowds at the NASA Galaxy Stage!
